Will County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is the lead agency for developing, planning, analyzing, conducting, providing, implementing, and maintaining programs for disaster mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. This includes public preparedness activities, developing and maintaining emergency plans, coordinating, and training with stakeholders, and responding to disasters and emergencies.

Vision

Building a safer future through effective partnerships with local government, emergency services, private sector, volunteer agencies, and the citizens of Will County to save lives, protect property and reduce the effects of disasters through preparedness, prevention, planning, response, and recovery activities.

Mission

Coordinate the County’s emergency management program to prepare, prevent, plan, respond, and recover from all-hazard events. Will County EMA develops, maintains, and implements the ability to direct, control, manage and coordinate emergency operations in cooperation with local, State, and Federal governmental and private sector agencies.

Allison graduated from Northern Illinois University with a double major in Psychology and Sociology in 2008; at which time she began her career in Emergency Management with the Village of Oak Lawn. In 2009 she joined the DuPage County Health Department’s Office of Risk and Emergency Management. In 2013 she joined Will County Health Department’s Emergency Preparedness & Response Division and in 2014 moved over to our agency. In March of 2022, Allison was appointed as Director.
